Because our services are personalized, your first step depends on what you’re looking for.
Some clients can book directly online. Others begin with a consultation or pre-consultation form so we can review your hair history, goals, photos, scalp needs, and what your hair can realistically support before anything is booked.

Kindred uses a text-based communication model so our stylists can stay fully present with the clients in our chairs.
Calls will go to voicemail, but texts are reviewed and answered as soon as we’re able.

After you schedule online, you’ll receive an email and text confirmation with your appointment details. You’ll also receive email and text reminders before your visit so nothing gets lost in the chaos of real life.
For most new appointments, you’ll also receive a link to complete a consultation form before you come in. This helps us start planning with more context instead of trying to figure everything out in the first five minutes of your appointment.
On your form, you will be asked to share:
Current photos of your hair
Inspiration photos
Past hair photos, if helpful
Examples of what you do not want
Important hair history
Your maintenance preferences and lifestyle needs
You do not need to know the technical terms or diagnose your own hair. The goal is simply to give us a clear starting point so your appointment can feel more thoughtful from the beginning.

We do not believe in rushing the consultation, forcing your hair into a trend, or ignoring what your scalp, density, texture, lifestyle, and maintenance routine can realistically support.
That is why we ask for forms, photos, hair history, inspiration, and preferences before many services begin. Those details help us make better decisions — from color direction to curl shape to extension placement, density, comfort, and long-term wear.
Your appointment does not start when you sit in the chair. It starts with the planning that helps us care for your hair more intentionally from the beginning.
